I got into ZE OPERA! AT ZE U OF MN!!
Well… the lady finally emailed me back after I sent her my make shift audition 11pm Friday night.
It was a spontaneous voice recording of myself I had paired on my music program, and added the piano accompaniment from my mp3 player that I used to record my old voice lesson sessions. It just happened to have my rehearsal music on it, just the piano part. So What I did was downloaded it to my laptop, put it on the music program. Plugged my head-jack extension in, so I couldn’t record myself so close to hthe computer (frequency sucks with internal mics) then plugged my head phones in and stood in my bathroom.
A ghetto recording studio, but hey it worked.
Sadly, the extension jack worked against me a bit, so in the beginning of the piece there is a delay—and the voice and piano don’t sync up very well…but I tried. It was REALLY bad before, I was able to move the voice track back a bit, but still has its moments.
Anyways, late last night I received an emailed response (ive been on edge, waiting) back. She didn’t say I was in? She just gave me the schedule and told me to adjust it for next Saturday…. XD So does that mean, I just assume I am in? Obviously, she wants me there, so yes? ( and my voice teacher, bless her, sent the lady an email about me—and referred me as a strong soprano, so maybe… her word was good enough. Paired with my ghetto audition?)

Here is my rendition of Sailor Sun~Sailor Moon’s sister ( soooooo cheezy/corney, I know! but this was what I came up with long ago)
also, she didn’t have a cat. I made her have a dog. But wth?
Luna seemed to have been walking long enough, when suddenly the startling of a young girl brought her to attention—and not only was the young girl startled, but the cat seemed to startle right back in reply. On the haunches of her feet, she was about ready to dash away —think maybe the girl would shoe her off, but from the looks of it. She seemed to relax, and the flattering remark that came from her brought Luna back to her senses. Phew. ” Purrrrr-eow?” She mewed, glancing up at her with big eyes. Fish would be nice, but that was a cat trait wasn’t it? Luna took a step forward and curled up against the girl’s leg. ” Puuuurrrrrrreowww” She stretched, and arched into the girl, the corners of her mouth turned upward—not really sure if humans could tell whether animals could smile or not.
The cat feels a slight corruption in the air, not quite sure if its just her being tired or it actually being something serious. She wanders about the streets and walks by each house of the different scouts and wonders if she’ll perhaps run into one of the girls. Nothing had been really happening lately. Just drama, just your average life. Boring, even.
And it was like Luna could necessarily go and do anything fun like the girls can. She, after all…is a cat. A cat with all the emotions and desires of a human.
The cat sighs into the sidewalk. “Isn’t there anything for me to do, besides chasing rats or hiding from mischievous children in alley-ways?
It had become such a routine, she was starting to forget what it was like to be a human. But she couldn’t let go, no. Not now.
” What do I want…” She murmured quietly, making sure no humans could hear….
She walked a while, until it was dark. It was a Friday evening so the night was crowded with people participating in various fun activities. She stared up a couple that had come close to her, looking up at at them longingly. They hardly noticed her, but were so enveloped with one another..
Thats when it hit her ina realization of what it was. What she wanted.
Excitment, a partner. Her partner.
I feel as if I need to protect my girls. I know most of the enemies, its hard to have to reteach them all again … if only I could save them myself. *sighs feeling helpless* but I’m- I’m just this..silly form of —of a cat.*pants out of anger and shivers*
